Dr. Kathleen Flynn
Kathleen Flynn is a professor of Credit ESL and is the Coordinator of the Accreditation Self-Study. She served as Credit ESL Division Chair for nine years and is currently the Evening Supervisor of Instructional Services. Dr. Flynn received her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from USC and she is the author of two ESL texts and the co-author of six. She also helped to design the teacher-training videos for the Connect With English ESL video series. Dr. Flynn has taught at the university level in New York, California, Louisiana, and in Greece and has done teacher training in both Europe and Asia.

Jill is the Instructional Services Manager, and her primary responsibilities include Program Review and Accreditation. She has worked at the college for ten years, previously as Assessment Coordinator and Contract Analyst, and is also an adjunct instructor for the Business Division. In 2002, she was campaign manager for the college’s $98M bond campaign, Measure G. Jill received her A.A. and a two year certificate from GCC, a B.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business & Management.

Steve White
Steve has been with the college for twenty years, and is currently the Vice President of Instructional Services. He previously served as Social Sciences Division Chair, President of the Guild, Vice President of the Senate, and Associate Professor of Economics. Steve received his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, attended the University of Chicago Business School, received a secondary credential in Chemistry, and an M.A. in Economics from California State University Los Angeles. He has also taught at Loyola Marymount University, Indiana University, and Alhambra High School. Steve is the co-author of a book on Economic History.

Jane DiLucchio is currently the chair of the Continuing Education Business and Life Skills Division. She has taught at Glendale for 17 years in the GED/High School Diploma program of the Developmental Skills Lab. Previous to her tenure at Glendale, she taught at California State University, Los Angeles, and in the Burbank Unified School District.
Jane is active in statewide organizations. She serves as Treasurer for the Association for Community and Continuing Education. She was the representative for the Chancellor’s Office and the state Academic Senate on the task force that developed the Model Program Standards for Adult Basic Education in 1992-1995 and 2000 – 2002. In addition, she is past president of the Glendale Literacy Coalition.
Jane has her Masters in Education with a specialization in Mathematics from CSULA, and a B.A. from Occidental College.

Robert Liddiard

Rob joined the adjunct faculty at GCC in 1998, and has taught French and ESL. Rob also helps manage the language lab on campus. He earned his BA in French Literature and M.A.. in Applied Linguistics from Brigham Young University in his hometown of Provo, Utah, and a Ph.D. in Romance Linguistics at the University of Washington. He began his professional career at the University of California, Los Angeles teaching French for two years, and later at College of the Canyons for four years.

Chair
Peter is currently a mathematics instructor and Division Chair of Mathematics. He came to the college in 1984 as a part-time instructor, became full-time not long after that, and has served as Director of the Scholars Program, Program Review Director, and campus coordinator for the NSF grant, Los Angeles Collaborative for Teacher Excellence (LACTE), which was shared with 4 other community colleges and 5 four year institutions. Peter received his B.A. from Colgate University, and an M.A. from Claremont Graduate School.

Jean E. Perry has been the Division Chairperson of Language Arts since 1999. She came to GCC in 1975 as an adjunct instructor in Speech Communication, and was made a full-time professor in 1991. Jean has taught at University of Southern California in the Business Communications Department, and has worked as a communication consultant for Rockwell Automation and Security Pacific Bank. She holds her Bachelor and masters degrees in Speech Communications from USC and is a published author.

Chair
Scot came to the college in 1985 as a research intern. He has served as Research Analyst, Director of Institutional Research, Associate Dean of the Evening College and is currently Associate Dean of Instruction. He is also an Accreditation Liaison Officer and an adjunct instructor of Sociology. Scot received his undergraduate degree from Brown University, M.B.A. and M.S.B.A. degrees from the University of Southern California, as well as additional graduate courses in Sociology and Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. Scot serves on numerous campus committees and is a past officer of several statewide research organizations.

Ed is the Director of Institutional Research, and has been in Planning and Research at GCC for 10 years. He received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D at University of California, San Diego. He has been a writer for Glendale's accreditation self studies in 1997-1998 and 2003-2004, and has served on three accrediting teams to other institutions.

Dave is the Associate Dean of Curriculum Management. He came to the college in 1977 as a counselor intern, and then took a permanent counselor position, later serving as Articulation Officer, Curriculum Chair and Program Manager. Dave received his A.A. at Glendale Community College, and his B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Counselor Education at California State University, Los Angeles.

Dennis is the GCC Learning Center Director, Reading Specialist, English Lab Coordinator, and a Professor of English. He has been at GCC for 23 years and has also taught in our Study Abroad Program in Ireland. He earned his B.A. in English/Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary College, and an M.A. in Education, Reading Specialist from California State University, Los Angeles.
Glenn DeLange

Glenn DeLange has spent 18 years at GCC as a music instructor, and currently serves as the Academic Senate President. He received a B.A. and M.A. from CSU, Los Angeles, and an Ed.D at the University of La Verne. His teaching experience includes seventeen years of high school choral music. His choirs have performed internationally, and he has performed and toured with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, I Cantori, and the William Hall Chorale. He is the author of a voice textbook, The Singer’s Handbook. His doctoral dissertation was an extensive study of program review in California community colleges, and the linkage of the program review process to decision making and resource allocation. Glenn is the current President of the Music Association of California Community Colleges.

Forrest currently teaches linguistics and Credit ESL and serves as an at-large Academic Senator. He came to GCC in 1982 and has taught in both the Credit and Non-credit ESL divisions and is a former Division Chair of Non-credit ESL and coordinator of the College Readiness ESL Program (CRESL), an innovative GCC model for matriculation from non-credit to credit for the non-English-speaking adult education student population. He earned his B.A.. and M.A. in Linguistics, and a Certificate in African Area Studies from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Certificate in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at UCLA, where he was also a Teaching Associate for phonetics and linguistics courses.

Jewel has been Dean of Student Services for over 10 years. Prior to that she was Administrative Dean of Counseling at Cerritos College for three years, a counselor, department chair and assistant dean of Admission and Records at West Los Angeles College, and also a counselor and department chair at Victor Valley College. She has a M.S. in Counselor Education and an Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Southern California and additionally won an award for the best dissertation of the year.

Nancy is a reading specialist, teaching all levels of academic reading. She is an alumna of Glendale College, having earned her AA degree in 1996, and then a B.A. in English Education from Cal State Long Beach, and a M.S. from Cal State Fullerton. Nancy’s interests include research in student success strategies and adult learning theory.

Joy is the Associate Dean of DSPS, and has been at the college since 1986. She has provided services to individuals with disabilities for over 32 years and has worked with children and Vietnam veterans for over 26 years in the California community college system. Glendale College's DSPS program is the largest in southern California. Joy was instrumental in the creation of the High Tech Center which has become a training center for local special education teachers, USC Interns, and Dept. of Rehabilitation Counselors.

Ruth has been Dean of Library and Learning Resources since 1998, developing the information competency instruction program and the virtual library. She earned a BA from Stanford in Creative Writing, a Masters from the University of Southern California in Library and Information Science and then became an administrator at the Glendale Public Library. She earned her doctorate in English at Indiana University and also taught American Literature there for five years.

Linda is manager of the Process Engineering Program and has been responsible for the implementation of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning System. She has 20 years experience in systems and software engineering and data base development. Previous employment includes Chevron Geosciences, University of California, Berkley, JPL Deep Space Network-Network Administration Systems, and California Institute of Technology. She received a B.S. in Biology from Bowling Green State University, and a M.S. in Biology from University of South Carolina.

Nancy has been Vice President of College Services since 1992. Her areas of responsibility include all of the traditional Student Service programs as well as the Library, Learning Center, Athletics, Student Employment, International Students and the Volunteer Service/Learning program. Nancy came to the college in 1980 as an instructor in the DSPS program, taught classes in the Speech Department, and was then Associate Dean of the DSPS program for six years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Brooklyn College, a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. in higher education from University of California, Los Angeles. She is the immediate past president of the Chief Student Service Officers’ Association whom she represents on the Chancellor’s Office Task Forces on Legislation, Budget Development, and Funding Formula.

Linda has been the Business Division Chair for the past four years. She came to GCC in 1971 as a clerk typist in Admissions, Secretary to the Dean of Counseling and also to the Vice President of Administrative Services. Linda attended GCC, and California State University, Los Angeles, earning a B.A. and M.A.in Vocational Education. She started teaching part-time in GCC’s Non-Credit and Credit Business Divisions, and was hired full-time in 1985. She was also in charge of Staff Development from 1996–2000.

Diane Fiero has been the Employee Services Manager at GCC for almost 5 years. She earned her B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and an M.S. degree in Human Resource Design from Claremont Graduate University. Diane previously worked at Caltech in Development and as an Organizational Behavior Lab Instructor at USC.

Larry has been Vice President, Administrative Services and Chief Business Officer at GCC for 11 years. He has 19 years of experience with the Los Angeles Community College District, and also served as interim Vice President for Administration at West Los Angeles College. Larry attended Santa Monica College and earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from UCLA. He also served on the ACCCA Legislation and Finance Commission, the WACUBO Two Year College Committee, and ACBO Board of Directors.

David Glover has been at GCC for 7 years and is a tenured instructor in the Business Division and Computer Science department specializing in Desktop Publishing and Digital Imaging. He earned a B.F.A . from Art Center College of Design, a Masters in Fine Art from CSULA, and an A.B.D. from Pepperdine University's Institutional Management program. David's specialty is publication design, he has designed BMX Plus! Magazine, Interface Age Magazine, Asian Enterprise Magazine and a number of journals. He is certified by the In-Plant Management Association as a Certified Graphics Communication Manager (CGCM).

Paul Schlossman has been the Dean of Student Affairs since 1998. He is a sixteen-year veteran of the California Community College system. Paul first joined the GCC staff in 1993 as the Associate Dean of Student Activities, and also served as the Coordinator of School Relations and Student Outreach for Mira Costa Community College from 1987-1993. He received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from San Diego State University, and is currently completing his Doctor of Education degree in the Educational Leadership Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Ann is the Director of Communications, Marketing and Foundation, and has worked at the college since 1973. She was an integral part of the 2002 Measure G bond campaign, and has been responsible for numerous campus innovations such as Gateways magazine, hosting the TV show Gateways, and increasing foundation assets from $75K to $5.5M. She received a B.S. from California State University San Jose, and a M.A. from Pacific Oaks in Pasadena. She has also served as commissioner for the City of Glendale Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Division.

Ron joined Glendale College as the Controller in 1996. Prior to that, he was the Accounting Manager, Disbursements at the Los Angeles Community College District, Systems Analyst at the UCLA Medical Center and Accounting Analyst at the Los Angeles Community College District. He received his M.B.A. and B.S., Accounting degrees from California State University, Los Angeles.

Jeanette has worked at GCC for over 25 years, and is currently Division Chair for College Services and a counselor in the division. She has also served as Interim Matriculation Coordinator, Coordinator/Counselor Testing and Assessment Center, and Coordinator/Counselor Career Center. She is active in the campus Academic Senate and the Master Plan Steering Committee. She has served on the Statewide Academic Senate Curriculum Standing Committee, and was recently appointed to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission by the Glendale City Council.

Mike has taught English at GCC since 1992. He has served on the Campus Development Committee for eleven years, Academic Senate for eight years, Senate Executive for five years, and director of the Scholars Program for three years Mike received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has taught at UCLA, CSU Northridge, Pepperdine University, Santa Monica College, and LA Harbor College,.
