My name is Taline. I enrolled in the evening Medical Front Office Clerk Program during the Winter 2008 session.
I started with the Medical Terminology class, and being new in the class, I was introduced clearly to how to proceed through the curriculum.
The way this program works makes it possible for me to enhance my job skills in an informal, non-competitive environment where interest in learning was the only consideration. Each student improved his or her skills within their own pace. Some of us finished the chapter within a week and others within three weeks.
However, we all have the opportunity to ask the help of our outstanding instructor Ms. Grigorian for any detail and/or explanation of the information being taught. The system worked as if the students had their own private tutors where they could study in class and clarify questions with the instructor on an individual basis.
The noncredit approach really makes it possible for the lifelong learners to continue education within their own time and at their own pace. It’s a great system that works. I will continue taking classes in the spring, and I am looking forward to finishing the program and earning a certificate.
