Agency Orientations are generally held before the start of each fall and spring semester.

These orientations are designed for two particular purposes:

1.  To help new volunteer coordinators in our current database of organization to become more familiar with our organization and how students sign up; and
2.  To recruit new organizations and explain the purpose of the program as well as how students sign up with their organization.

The orientation covers the following:

Brief History and Overview;
Definition of Service Learning;
Instilling civic responsibility in students;
CSI functions and operations and how students sign up;
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and what we hope students will get out of their service experience; and,
A walking tour of the campus for those who have not been to GCC.
