Theatre Arts 130 teaches the technical support aspects for the performing arts, including: dance, music, and theater arts. Through lecture and laboratory experiences the students are preparred to stage manage, run sound, run lights, manage props, execute scenery changes using the fly system, and manage costumes for productions.
Lecture: 1 hour
Laboratory/studio: 3-9 hours.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate a general knowledge of all technical areas
Interpret and implement written instructions, schedules, and drawings from the production designers.
Note: This course may be taken 4 times; a maxium of 12 units may be earned.
