Request for Administrative Review Online Form (to appeal a parking citation)
Parking on GCC Campus requires a valid parking permit 365 days a year. You are required to display a valid parking permit while parked on campus. If you are unable to purchase a semester permit, daily permits are available from the Pay and Display machines at the entrance to the GCC parking structure or you may pay the meters and park in the City parking lots. Parking is not free and there are no grace periods. Valid parking permits are ALWAYS REQUIRED. If you do not display a valid parking permit, you are subject to citation. Vehicles displaying expired parking permits are subject to citation.
Daily Parking Permits
If a Pay and Display machine in the area you have parked is inoperable, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to find an alternate Pay and Display machine which is operational in order to purchase the required valid parking permit.
- Permits are not transferable from person to person, and are valid only for the day printed on the daily permit.
- Guests who are attending special events at the College are required to purchase and display a valid daily parking permit, or guests may choose to park in Lot F or the City lots and pay the meters.
- Students are encouraged to purchase a daily permit during the first week of the semester or inter-session to allow time to purchase a semester parking permit. Daily permits are valid for the day posted on the daily permit. Vehicles displaying expired parking permits are subject to citation.
- During the construction of the Lab College Services Building, students may also use a valid daily parking permit in the City’s LOT 30, which is located southwest of the campus property, south of the Mobil Station at the corner of Mountain Ave/Verdugo Rd. Valid daily permits may be used on campus in student lots, or in Lot 30, but may not be used in the Civic Center structure or other lots. Only valid semester parking permits are valid in all City lots.
Daily parking permits are available for $3.00 at the entrance to the GCC parking structure from the Pay and Display machines (there are machines on the outside of the structure). The Pay and Display machines accept quarters and credit/debit cards. Daily permits must be displayed face-up, on the driver’s side of the vehicle’s dashboard and be clearly visible. The daily permits are valid for the entire day/evening listed on the permit and are ONLY valid in Lot B and the upper four floors of the GCC parking structure (Levels 3-6 in the white painted spaces) during the week, Monday-Friday. On weekends, the daily permits are valid in Lots B, or C. Daily permits are not valid in the City parking lots. Vehicles not displaying a permit properly or displaying permits which have expired are subject to citation. Parking will be enforced seven days per week including holidays.
