The objective  of this degree is to develop a knowledgeable and artistically skilled graduate who will be able to pursue an advanced degree and/or a professional career in film. The major may emphasize both theoretical and practical understanding of mass media and film. Also, there are universities that may not have a concentration in "film", but you may find a curriculum under radio television and film. Below are some examples of the courses required for the major.

Radio Television Film is for those students that are planning a career in television or radio production. Camera, microphone and mixing board operation are also areas that students can focus on. Other areas such as sampling and sound effects engineering are available options as well.
